LOTTERY BUSINESS FORUM (LBF 2016)

DIVERSIFICATION AGENDA OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT: LOTTERY, AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE OIL INDUSTRY

The National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC); born of the National Lottery Act 2005 (NLA 2005); is saddled with the responsibility to administer, regulate and monitor ALL lottery operations in Nigeria; with the aim to boost public confidence by promoting transparency, integrity and equity.

Over dependence on the Oil Industry has made Nigeria a mono-economy, this is no longer a sustainable business structure for Nigeria as a country; other viable sectors such as Lottery, Agriculture, Mining, Tourism etc; seem have been neglected.

Most developed nations around the world, rely on all these alternative sectors to generate revenue, create jobs and grow the Gross Domestic Products (GDP). Lottery especially has played significant roles in economic stability, infrastructural development and nation building.

Nigeria, is said to be passing through a recession; We at the Lottery Commission say; "this is the best opportunity to invest, while yet contributing your own quota to the resuscitation process of the Nigerian economy by encouraging economic diversification".

The benefits of lottery such as job creation, wealth distribution and redistribution, infrastructural development and other good causes can be replicated right here in Nigeria only if the we grow investment in the Lottery industry and do so “the right way”.

The Nigerian lottery industry can and will attain its full potential as the Commission pushes daily to actualize its mandate.

We invite all potential investors and stakeholders to explore this rare investment opportunity, as the lottery industry, yet remains an untapped investment haven, with such possibility as infusing lottery into ALL business types, by creating “Constituent Lottery Schemes”

The Imo State office of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), is in collaboration with the Abia State Government, Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA), providing an enabling environment and platform for networking and partnership. We bring to you the maiden edition of the “Lottery Business Forum 2016 (LBF 2016).

You are welcome to the “LBF 2016”, working together we can and will make Nigeria truly great again and indeed the giant of Africa.

... Lottery is the right way…
