LET US WORK AND PRAY: MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016
As the year 2015 gradually rolls to the end, it gives me great pleasure to say a big thank you to each and every staff of National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) who selflessly contributed to the modest achievements recorded within the year.
I want to particularly appreciate all the Directors and Senior Management Staff for their commitments and well cherished efforts towards steering the ship of the Commission in the right direction.
2015 would be remembered as an eventful year in the life of the Commission. We had our ups and downs, including the demise of a number of our staff, (may their souls rest in peace, Amen). On the brighter side, the celebration of our 10th year anniversary was landmark event that drew positive attention to the Commission. We are still savoring the gains of that particular event.
While still basking in the euphoria of the celebration, it is imperative to remind ourselves of the challenges that lie ahead. 2016 is our year of Expansion and Hard Work. It promises to be a better year than 2015. It is a year that will witness a tremendous turnaround in our operations. We would strengthen our operations. Targets would be set for all Departments, Units and Offices across the nation.
For the avoidance of doubts, our operations would be guided by the 4 key corporate goals we have set for ourselves, namely:
- To complete the automation process of NLRC operations
- To have our own office accommodation
- To be the highest revenue generating government agency in Nigeria
- To improve the general welfare of all NLRC staff.
This is a journey that requires all hands to be on deck. I therefore, implore every staff to rededicate self and contribute in making this dream a reality. We would reward/commend exceptional contributions and achievements by any staff. We shall in turn reject and punish in all ramifications, all acts of indiscipline or any other behaviour inimical to the progress/image of the Commission.
As we celebrate, let us find time to pray for peace, progress and unity of our dear country, Nigeria. Let us pray for divine guidance and favour for our President, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR and for all members of the Executive Council. We should pray for the members of the National Assembly as well as those in the Judiciary. Without a country there will be no lottery Commission.
God answers prayers. Let us pray for our Commission the NLRC, that God grant us divine wisdom to reposition for excellence.
I pray for journey mercies for all that travel. Merry Christmas, and better years ahead.
God bless NLRC, God bless Nigeria!
