2014 GOODWILL MESSAGE

Happy New Year and greetings at the dawn of a new beginning of 2014.

I sincerely thank God Almighty for preserving us all through 2013 and also giving us the divine priviledge of witnessing a New Year 2014.

This Year 2014 is our year of BREAKTHROUGH.

A big thank you to the Board, Management and entire Staff for the cordial working relationship which was harnessed towards the advancement of the Commission in the preceding year.

I look back to the past year with a joyful reminiscence and am also excited about the positive prospects that 2014 provides for the Commission.

The Commission as a going concern was able to make some appreciable progress despite the challenges inherent in the environment in which we operate.

Let me urge you all to remain focused on our New Vision and Mission statements and re-dedicate ourselves to nurture a viable lottery industry for Nigeria that will generate funds for Good Causes in a socially responsible and economically viable manner. Above all, let us strive to build the confidence of more Nigerians to play the game of lottery.

I want to encourage you to imbibe the spirit of Team Work which will propel the Commission to greater heights in this New Year 2014. With continuous hard work as a team, individual and collective welfare, the fortunes of our Commission, and the economy of our dear country will be enhanced. We have to lay the foundation of our break-through this year.

Do bear in mind my dear colleagues that in this Year 2014, some hard decisions will be taken along the way for the progress of our Commission. We can do better this year. We shall do better this year. We shall and must be more dedicated and devoted to duties. We should and must know more and do more on capacity building. We should have a better understanding of our industry.  We should impact more and take our leadership position.

We cannot fail.  We shall not fail.

God and our country Nigeria have given to us the responsibility and authority to succeed.

Together as a team, we are entering into our era of break-through.

As we continue our progressive march into 2014, I sincerely urge you not to relent in your fervent prayers for the Peace and Unity of our dear one and only Country Nigeria.  God bless Nigeria, God bless the National Lottery Regulatory Commission.  God bless us all.

Thank you most sincerely.

ADOLPHUS JOE EKPE
